The former Sunday captain and current Saturday vice captain, a very successful captain in his own right claiming back to back promotions, likes a good brunch meeting before a day on the golf course, very quick in the field and a handy bowler at the end of and ininngs.Taking a hat trick at Winslow, He also runs like Woody from Toy Story.

Our Australian import and Saturday vice captain, proving his worth at the top of the order and cracked a nonchalent 133 against Old Bradwell, very vocal in the field and likes to support his Kiwi counterparts by sporting a black cap when batting like Jesse Ryder.

Going into his 2nd year as Saturday 2nd team skipper and third at the club, Mike has proved he can get runs when needed at the top of the order,can also keep wicket very well, and has captained the 2nd team very well in his first year. Very popluar man within the club.
Simon SmithersStats:

Role: Middle order batsman.

The former Saturday captain (three years as skipper between 2008 - 2010) ,is a powerful middle order batsman, with the ability to take the attack apart towards the end of an innings, a punisher of the short ball. Bowls occasional off spin and can break partnerships.

Role: Number 3 or opening Batsman

A former club captain and the longest serving member of the Aspley Guise team, a well established number 3 batsman, or even at the top of the innings, can be devastating on his day, and was a very good fast bowler back in the day, still very commited and is a great asset to the club, on and off the field.

Role: Opening or middle order batsman

Another stalwart of the team, Jimmy has also been Sunday captain, and holds the largest partnership for the club with Ian Foll,with them contributing 234 against Studham, a hard working batsman from the Athers school of batting, a hard man to get out, and can produce the big shots when it is required.
John RowbothamStats:
Name: John Rowbotham
Nickname: Jonno, Johnson.
Role: Opening batsman, left arm spin, Saturday vice captain

A solid opening left handed batsman, who is capable of keeping an innings together and getting valuable runs under his belt,providing a good solid start for the team, a very handy left arm orthodox bowler, getting good turn and bounce, a handful for any batsman.
David PapworthStats:

A product from the old Aspley youth set up, Didi is a very accomplished number 3 batsman who has also opened, is if not the best, one of the best fielders in the team, always gives his all ,never one to back down, is also useful with the ball. Also looks a bit like Joe Mcelderry.

Benedict Savage is a young promising batsman a former under 16 captain, and one of our overseas players as he qualifies for being French, a good club man who is in duel with club captain in a series of challenges,loves a chinese from Sun Kwong, also took the worse five wicket haul since Ed Giddins' one against Zimbabwe.

Nickname: Bobby, Bobla, Harrison, Bresnan
Role: Sunday Captain, Bowler

The new Sunday captain taking over from Dave Quick is a young bowler who can move the ball both ways, is making a name for himself at the club, winning the Sunday bowling cup for the 2008 and 2009 season, can also hit a few lusty blows down in the tail, very quick in the field with a good arm. Likes to use the phrase to be fair and also knows more stats than anyone in the club!

Another long serving member of the team, a first change or opening bowler, winning the bowling cup many times, took all ten wickets against Milton Bryan in 1999, bats down the order and can change the game in a flash, much like his unbeaten 68 match winning innings in 2008 at North Crawley.

Best Bowling: N/A ( but he has taken the wicket of Ian Foll in the Vice presidents game)
Possibly the most popular guy in the club, Ritchy has had a playing career including being the Sunday vice captain under Jim Watson, and a highlight of taking the wicket of the one and only Ian Foll in the vice presidents game. Is now the club umpire and scorer, never stops working for the club and is a real treasure to the Guise.
